Baseball Game Preview: Ambridge Bridgers vs. Central Valley Warriors

For the second straight game, Ambridge will face off against Central Valley. The Bridgers will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against the Warriors at 4:00 p.m.

Ambridge hadn't beaten Central Valley on the road since March 31, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Monday. The Bridgers walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Warriors.

Ambridge got a great performance from Cody Hetrick as he didn't allow a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave Hetrick a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

At the plate, Jonathan Janicki was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. AJ Gerace was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Ambridge now has a winning record of 6-5-1. As for Central Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5-1.
