Softball Game Preview: Ninety Six Wildcats vs. Clinton Red Devils

Ninety Six has won four straight games at home, while Clinton has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Wildcats will welcome the Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Ninety Six is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Saluda just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 6-0. The shutout was out of character for the Wildcats seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Meanwhile, Clinton didn't have quite enough to beat Chesnee on Friday and fell 5-4.

Clinton's loss dropped their record down to 19-6. As for Ninety Six, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-6.

Everything went Ninety Six's way against Clinton in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, as Ninety Six made off with a 10-1 victory. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Red Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
