            Baseball Recap: Silver Creek Raptors vs. Mead Mavericks        
        
		
        
        
            Silver Creek came into this matchup off a tough ten-run  loss on Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Mead Mavericks by a score of  6-4 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  defeat the Raptors have suffered  since March 28th.
  Brody Simpson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 1-for-2 with three  RBI and one  triple. That  triple was  his first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Nate Spiegel, who  went 2-for-3 with one  run and one  RBI.
Silver Creek is  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 8-8. As for Mead, their win bumped their record up to 10-4.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Silver Creek will square off against Holy Family at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Mead, they will challenge Windsor at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. The Wizards will roll in looking for their  seventh straight  victory, something the Mavericks surely won't give up without a fight.
