Baseball Recap: Box Elder Takes a Loss

Box Elder was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 12-2 to the Maple Mountain Golden Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bees of the 4-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Box Elder saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kellen Kohler, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Kohler also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season. Another was Greyson Burt, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one RBI.

Box Elder's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Maple Mountain, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, Box Elder will challenge Green Canyon at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Maple Mountain, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lehi at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Maple Mountain knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Lehi likes a good challenge.
