Softball Recap: San Diego's Run of Five Straight Wins Now Over

San Diego and Jourdanton squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but San Diego had to settle for second. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians/Squaws. The shutout was out of character for the Vaqueros seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

San Diego moved to 20-11 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak. As for Jourdanton, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 18 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-14 record this season.

While San Diego had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
