Baseball Recap: Locke Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Locke's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Dorsey Dons with a sharp 15-0 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Saints as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Kingston Romo, who scored three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Locke is 4-1 when Romo posts two or more runs, but 0-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Josef Villegas, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Locke's victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Dorsey, they dropped their record down to 0-7 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Locke and Dorsey will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Saints see the field they'll take on Fremont at 3:00 p.m. on the 28th. As for Dorsey, their break will end when they face San Gabriel at 3:00 p.m. on the 24th.
