Soccer Game Preview: Marshall vs. Sotomayor

The Marshall Rams will venture away from home to square off against the Sotomayor WILDCATS at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marshall has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since January 11.

Marshall fell victim to Warren and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Warriors, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 501st, while the Warriors are ranked 52nd).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Sotomayor duked it out with O'Connor on Friday. Sotomayor took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of O'Connor.

Sotomayor's goal came courtesy of Peyton Mckinney, who's now up to nine this season.

Sotomayor's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Marshall, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.

Marshall might still be hurting after the 5-0 loss they got from Sotomayor in their previous meeting back in January. Can Marshall avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
