Football Recap: La Pryor Bulldogs vs. Geneva
After flying high against Bruni last Friday, La Pryor came back down to earth. The La Pryor Bulldogs lost to Geneva on the road by a 35-16 margin on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 35-12 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.
Caleb Quitadamo went supernova for Geneva, throwing for 268 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 70 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. The dominant performance gave him a new career- in rushing yards. Wyatt Bruss was Quitadamo's top target, picking up 151 receiving yards and a touchdown.
La Pryor's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Geneva, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.
La Pryor will welcome Three Rivers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Geneva, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Sabinal at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Geneva is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
