Roosevelt had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Holy Names Academy on Thursday. The Roughriders put the hurt on Holy Names Academy with a sharp 11-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Roughriders, who have now won eight contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Kate Torrie was incredible, firing off two home runs, four runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Adelyn Bagley, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Roosevelt kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Holy Names Academy only managed two.

The win was the third in a row for Roosevelt, bringing their record up to 16-6. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Holy Names Academy, they moved to 10-7-1 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Roosevelt will square off against Bishop Blanchet at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Roughriders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bears have averaged an impressive 11.8 runs per game this season. Holy Names Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
