Basketball Game Preview: Valley Indians vs. Minford Falcons

Valley hasn't had much luck against Minford recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Valley Indians will challenge the Minford Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Valley will bounce into Wednesday's contest after beating Portsmouth West, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Valley secured a 45-41 W over Portsmouth West on Monday.

Meanwhile, Minford came tearing into Monday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 53-19 win over the Jeeps. With the Falcons ahead 34-9 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Minford's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.6 points per game. As for Valley, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Valley took a serious blow against Minford when the teams last played on Thursday, falling 58-30. Can Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
