Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is Jemison's Ninth in Last 12 Outings

It was a proper cat-fight when Jemison challenged Demopolis on Friday. The Jemison Panthers walked away with a 53-44 win over the Demopolis Tigers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 55-38 back in December of 2024.

Jemison has also been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.2 points per game. As for Demopolis, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-18.

Jemison and Selma will face off at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Demopolis, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Marion at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
