Recap: Wise Pumas vs. Flowers Jaguars
The Wise Pumas had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 57-47 victory over Flowers. For Wise, this counts as revenge for the 75-73 loss Flowers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.
Wise was led to victory by Alexis Obase and Marcus Rustin. Obase scored 8 points along with 14 rebounds, while Rustin scored 14 points along with 5 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Ware, who scored 11 points.
Wise's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Flowers, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Wise will head out on the road to face off against Suitland at 7:15 p.m. on December 15th. Flowers will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Parkdale at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th.
