Baseball Recap: North Medford's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

North Medford proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by ten) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Grants Pass Cavemen. The victory was nothing new for the Black Tornado as they're now sitting on four straight.

Dominic Daffron spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, North Medford saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colton Miller, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

North Medford's record now sits at 10-3. As for Grants Pass, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.

North Medford will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cavemen: the pair will be back at it again later today.
