Football Recap: Keystone Oaks Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Keystone Oaks and Ellwood City squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Keystone Oaks had to settle for second. They came up short against the Wolverine, falling 35-13. The Golden Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ellwood City to victory, but perhaps none more so than DaiLonn Currie, who picked up 102 receiving yards and one TD. Those 102 receiving yards gave Currie a new career-high. Giulian Frisk was another key rusher, rushing for 69 yards and one score on only eight carries.

Keystone Oaks' defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Ellwood City, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-4.

Keystone Oaks does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ellwood City, they will face off against Steel Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolverine will need to watch out since the Ironmen have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests.
