Northern Heights is 9-1 against Central Heights since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Northern Heights Wildcats will host the Central Heights Vikings at 6:00 p.m. Northern Heights comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Last Friday, Northern Heights didn't have quite enough to beat West Franklin and fell 2-0.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central Heights). They claimed a resounding 46-11 victory over Southern Coffey County. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-6.

Northern Heights better focus on containing Macy Cubit and Addison Ouellette as the pair were huge in Central Heights' win. Cubit went 6-for-11 to rack up 14 points, while Ouellette posted ten points and six boards. The dominant performance also gave Cubit a new career-high in shooting accuracy (55%). Another player making a difference was Melaney Chrisjohn, who earned five points.

Central Heights' win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Northern Heights, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-15-2.

Northern Heights came up short against Central Heights in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 37-33. Can Northern Heights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
