Baseball Recap: Roma Gladiators vs. Palmview Lobos
Roma extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 14-11-1 in the process. They lost 9-0 to the Palmview Lobos. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Gladiators have suffered against the Lobos since April 16, 2021.
Roma saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ezra Gonzalez, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles. Those doubles were Gonzalez's first of the season.
As for Palmview, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games.
