Baseball Recap: Leyden Takes a Loss

Leyden and Glenbrook South squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Leyden had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Titans by a score of 3-2. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Jacob Ganir made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

Leyden now has a losing record of 16-17. As for Glenbrook South, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-20 record this season.

As of now, neither Leyden nor Glenbrook South have any future games scheduled.
