Basketball Game Preview: Erskine Academy Eagles vs. Morse Shipbuilders

The Erskine Academy Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Morse Shipbuilders at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Erskine Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Last Friday, Erskine Academy blew past Maine Central Institute, posting a 62-26 win. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 31 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Morse was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 33-32 to Sacopee Valley.

Morse dropped their record down to 3-3 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Erskine Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.

Erskine Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Morse when the teams last played back in February, winning 49-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for Erskine Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
