Softball Recap: Silas Comes Up Short

After flying high against Bellarmine Prep last Tuesday, Silas came back down to earth. Silas lost 20-4 to the Gig Harbor Tides on Thursday. The game marked the Rams' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Kaydence Griffith was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more stolen bases the last three times she's played.

Silas' loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Gig Harbor, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Silas will challenge rival Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Gig Harbor is set to face off against their familiar foe Silas at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
