The Triopia/Virginia Trojans are on the road again on Saturday to play the Henry-Senachwine Mallards at 8:30 a.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Triopia/Virginia didn't have quite enough to beat Carrollton and fell 2-1. While the Trojans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Hawks 26-24 in the first set.
Triopia/Virginia started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-19, 25-17.
Ellie Dambacher put forth a good effort for the losing side as she had ten digs.
Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Henry-Senachwine's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of St. Bede by a score of 2-1.
In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Henry-Senachwine sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-16, 23-25, 25-21.
Triopia/Virginia's loss dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Henry-Senachwine, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-5.
