Softball Recap: Middletown Takes a Loss

Middletown fell victim to Kingston and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Middie Bears have suffered against the Tigers since May 24, 2022.

Middletown's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Kingston, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Middletown will face off against rival Pine Bush at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Middie Bears 3.6, the Bushmen 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Kingston is set to square off against their familiar foe Monroe-Woodbury at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
