Manitou Springs won the last time they faced Buena Vista and things went their way on Saturday too. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Demons with a sharp 11-4 victory. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.

Maxton Bolster made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Manitou Springs is 6-2 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 5-6 otherwise. Bolster was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Manitou Springs got a big performance out of Trafford Havens, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two runs. Logan Moore was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Manitou Springs was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .318 or higher in four consecutive contests.

Manitou Springs' win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-8. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Buena Vista, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-11.

Coming up, Manitou Springs will head out on the road to challenge Falcon at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season. As for Buena Vista, they will welcome Platte Canyon at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
