Basketball Game Preview: Tell City Marksmen vs. North Posey Vikings

The Tell City Marksmen will head out on the road to face off against the North Posey Vikings at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Tell City can't be too worried about heading out to take on North Posey: they just beat Perry Central at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. Tell City skirted past Perry Central 53-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Marksmen have posted since December 7, 2024.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Posey). They blew past Tecumseh 76-46 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

North Posey has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points per game. As for Tell City, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Tell City was able to grind out a solid win over North Posey in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, winning 45-37. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tell City since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
