Preview: Pee Dee Academy Eagles vs. Christian Academy Saints
The Pee Dee Academy Eagles will face off against the Christian Academy Saints at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Pee Dee Academy strolled past Florence Christian with points to spare, taking the game 35-21.
Meanwhile, Christian Academy beat Florence Christian 30-20 on Friday.
Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Mary Claire MacDonald out in front who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Owens, who scored five points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Pee Dee Academy pushed their record up to 7-8 with that victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season.
Things could have been worse for Pee Dee Academy, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 30-12 loss to Christian Academy in their previous matchup last Friday. Can Pee Dee Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
