Basketball Game Preview: University Wildcats vs. Los Angeles CES Unicorns

University is on a four-game streak of home losses, Los Angeles CES a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Monday. The University Wildcats will host the Los Angeles CES Unicorns at 6:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Friday, University lost to Hamilton on the road by a 71-52 margin. The Wildcats were down 55-32 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

University might have lost, but man, Kahmron Hill was a machine: he dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Syrus Azarbarzin, who posted ten points and five assists.

Meanwhile, Los Angeles CES came up short against Palisades on Friday and fell 55-43. While losing is never fun, the Unicorns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 625th, while the Dolphins are ranked 188th).

University's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Los Angeles CES, their loss dropped their record down to 6-17.

University was dealt a bruising 57-19 defeat at the hands of Los Angeles CES in their previous matchup back in January. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point University was down 28-7.
