Softball Recap: Berea Triumphs

Berea took a seven-run loss the last time they faced off against Daniel, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bulldogs had just enough and edged out the Lions 7-6 on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Lions back in March, they had to take a 12-5 defeat.

Berea's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 8-8-1. As for Daniel, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Berea will head out to take on Seneca at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Daniel, they will venture away from home to challenge Belton-Honea Path at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The Bears will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
