Westchester's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Fairfax Lions by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Comets, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

The win didn't come easy: Fairfax scored at least 20 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 24-26, 25-20, 25-21.

Westchester is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season. As for Fairfax, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Coming up, Westchester is taking a road trip to take on Venice at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Fairfax, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Math & Science College Preparatory at 4:30 p.m.
