Softball Recap: Blair-Taylor Comes Up Short

Blair-Taylor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Prescott Cardinals, falling 14-2. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Cardinals from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Blair-Taylor suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 2-4. As for Prescott, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Blair-Taylor will be playing at home against Alma Center Lincoln at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hornets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.5 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Prescott, they will challenge Somerset at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Cardinals' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
