Basketball Recap: Page Takes a Loss

Page came into this matchup off a tough 32-point defeat on Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Kingman Academy Tigers by a score of 57-54 on Saturday. The Sand Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2019.

When it comes to explaining why Page lost, don't look at Joseph Benally. Despite the final result, he posted 23 points in addition to six steals and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Owen Sombrero, who earned five points.

Page is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5. As for Kingman Academy, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Page has already played their next game, a 93-45 defeat against Seton Catholic on the 29th. As for Kingman Academy, they will face off against Mohave Accelerated at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Tigers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
