Calexico had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Central Spartans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 last Saturday.

Calexico had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-20, 25-19, 25-16.

Calexico's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gerardo Diaz, who had 42 digs and five aces. That's the most digs Diaz has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jose Pablo Reyna, who had 19 digs and one block.

Calexico pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season.

Calexico has already played their next contest (against Southwest EC), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Central also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against Imperial.
