Basketball Game Preview: Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood Mavericks vs. Glenburn Panther

The Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood Mavericks will square off against the Glenburn Panther at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Glenburn likes a good challenge.

If Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood beats Glenburn with 65 points on Thursday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood beat Lewis & Clark [Berthold/Our Redeemer's Christian/North Shore] on Friday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 65-43.

Meanwhile, Glenburn came up short against Kenmare/Bowbells on Friday and fell 42-29. While losing is never fun, the Panther can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while Kenmare/Bowbells are ranked second).

Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 20 points. As for Glenburn, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.
