Basketball Game Preview: Timber Lake Panthers vs. Harding County Ranchers

The Timber Lake Panthers will challenge the Harding County Ranchers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Timber Lake comes in on three and Harding County on 14.

It was a proper cat-fight when Timber Lake duked it out withDupree on Tuesday. Timber Lake came out on top against Dupree by a score of 39-27.

Meanwhile, Harding County beat Lemmon 47-35 on Tuesday.

Timber Lake better focus on containing Bailey Rae Verhulst and Kaylen Padden as the pair were huge in Harding County's win. Rae Verhulst posted 15 points and eight steals, while Padden dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Rae Verhulst is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 24 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamry Padden, who put up nine points along with six boards and three steals.

Harding County pushed their record up to 14-0 with the victory, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 37 points. As for Timber Lake, their win bumped their record up to 10-7.

Timber Lake was dealt a bruising 62-26 defeat at the hands of Harding County in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Rae Verhulst, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten steals.
