Basketball Recap: Choctaw County Comes Up Short

Choctaw County lost against East Webster back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Choctaw County Chargers fell 69-57 to the East Webster Wolverines.

When it comes to explaining why Choctaw County lost, don't look at Caleb Cunningham. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 21 points and 14 boards. That was a full 36.8% of Choctaw County's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Will Taylor, who had 12 points.

Choctaw County's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-10. As for East Webster, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-6.

Choctaw County has already played their next contest (against Mooreville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. East Webster will host Winston Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
