Volleyball Game Preview: Claremont Wolfpack vs. Crescenta Valley Falcons

The Claremont Wolfpack will square off against the Crescenta Valley Falcons at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Claremont took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Chino Hills, sneaking past 3-2. The Wolfpack haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Claremont got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 21-25, 28-30, 25-13, 18-16.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday Crescenta Valley sidestepped Arcadia for a 3-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (122-118) Crescenta Valley actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 29-27, 35-33, 20-25, 15-12.

Claremont's win bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Crescenta Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8.
