Softball Recap: Watchung Hills Regional Triumphs

Watchung Hills Regional won the last time they faced Marlboro and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Warriors came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 6-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Riley Bobrowski spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on one hit and racked up 18 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Mia Simon, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Kalfus, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Watchung Hills Regional was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Marlboro only posted a batting average of .048.

Watchung Hills Regional's record now sits at 18-5. As for Marlboro, they now have a losing record of 10-11.

Watchung Hills Regional does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Marlboro, they will head out on the road to square off against Allentown at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
