Volleyball Recap: Rutland Find Success

Rutland posted their closest victory since August 27, 2024 on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Northside Eagles. For the Hurricanes, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Rutland who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-16, 13-25, 15-9.

Rutland's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Northside, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Rutland is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Pike County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northside, they will take on Veterans on Saturday.
