Recap: Sheldon Irish vs. North Medford Black Tornado
If the Sheldon Irish were feeling good off their 82-44 takedown of the Willamette Wolverines last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The match between Sheldon and North Medford wasn't particularly close, with Sheldon falling 63-49. Sheldon was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as North Medford apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
It was another big night for Houston Klug, who scored 31 points along with five rebounds for North Medford. Klug is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last five games he's played. Miguel Torres was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Sheldon's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-10. As for North Medford, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-13.
Sheldon will be playing at home against Grants Pass at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. As for North Medford, they will head out on the road to face off against Roseburg at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Roseburg has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,096 points over their last 15 matchups.
