Baseball Game Preview: Portage Mustangs vs. Glendale Vikings

Portage is on a six-game streak of home losses, and Glendale a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Portage Mustangs will welcome the Glendale Vikings at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Wednesday, Portage didn't have quite enough to beat Cambria Heights and fell 4-3.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Glendale and Curwensville have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Wednesday. The Vikings fell 7-3 to the Golden Tide.

Glendale saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Levi Hamilton, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Glendale's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Portage, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.

Portage took their victory against Glendale when the teams last played back in May of 2022 by a conclusive 8-1 score. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
