Softball Recap: Methacton Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Methacton's offense. They came up short against the Perkiomen Valley Vikings on Monday, falling 10-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Warriors were not able to get on the board.

Methacton has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-4 record this season. As for Perkiomen Valley, they pushed their record up to 16-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Methacton will head out to face off against Spring-Ford at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rams' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Perkiomen Valley, they will head out on the road to challenge Upper Perkiomen at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Vikings are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
