Soccer Game Preview: Jordan vs. Katy Taylor

The Jordan Warriors will head out to challenge the Katy Taylor Mustangs at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Jordan will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Katy on Friday. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 6-1 margin over the Tigers. Considering Jordan have won six contests by more than four goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Tuesday Katy Taylor sidestepped Katy for a 2-1 victory.

Jordan pushed their record up to 14-4-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those six matchups. As for Katy Taylor, their win bumped their record up to 11-8-1.

Jordan was able to grind out a solid victory over Katy Taylor in their previous matchup back in January, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
