Recap: Fergus Golden Eagles vs. Sidney Eagles
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Malta, the Fergus Golden Eagles were happy to have found some success on Friday. They strolled past Sidney with points to spare, taking the game 46-27. That looming 46-27 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Fergus yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fergus to victory, but perhaps none more so than Trajan Sparks, who scored eight points along with four steals and two blocks. Sparks is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Wylee Snapp was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with three steals.
Fergus' win bumped their record up to 3-9. As for Sidney, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 6-7.
Fergus will take on Custer County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sidney, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Lockwood on January 27th. Lockwood presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sidney in Montana (Lockwood is ranked tenth, while Sidney is ranked 66th).
