It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Pennsville Memorial had no problem doing just that on Friday. They put the hurt on the Haddon Township Hawks with a sharp 13-7 victory. Considering the Eagles have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The win was the third in a row for Pennsville Memorial, bringing their record up to 16-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Haddon Township, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-12 record this season.

Pennsville Memorial will square off against Woodstown on Wednesday. As for Haddon Township, they will head out to challenge Bishop Eustace Prep at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Crusaders' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Hawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
