Thomas Daniel was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Daniel was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, Braylon Martinez was a standout: he scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Brickman, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Hopewell-Loudon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .641. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Joseph Central Catholic only posted an OBP of .125.
Meanwhile, St. Mary Central Catholic didn't have quite enough to beat Calvert on Tuesday and fell 2-1. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Senecas recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
St. Mary Central Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Hopewell-Loudon, their record now sits at 8-2.
St. Mary Central Catholic's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Hopewell-Loudon has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .458. It's a different story for St. Mary Central Catholic, though, as they've only averaged .352. Will they be able to contain Hopewell-Loudon's hitters?
