Soccer Game Preview: Cardinal Newman vs. Windsor

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Cardinal Newman take on the Windsor at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday... Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Cardinal Newman is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Everything went their way against Montgomery on Thursday as Cardinal Newman made off with a 4-1 victory. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Cardinals with their most commanding win of the season.

Meanwhile, Windsor waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Tigers onto the board and left with a 2-0 win. The Jaguars' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

Karli Sikes and Leilanie Delgado scored both of Windsor's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Windsor is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five matches. As for Cardinal Newman, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-8.
