Basketball Recap: Hawley Comes Up Short

Hawley was the 76-68 winner over Breckenridge when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Hawley Nuggets fell to the Breckenridge Cowboys 73-68. While losing is never fun, the Nuggets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 135th, while the Cowboys are ranked 46th).

Hawley now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Breckenridge, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-5.

Hawley has already played their next contest (against Sauk Centre), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Breckenridge, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 74-70 victory against Barnesville on the 11th.
