Softball Recap: University Lab Takes a Loss

University Lab fell victim to Central Private and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 18-0 to the Redhawks. Having soared to a lofty 28 runs in the game before, the Cubs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

University Lab saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was London Harvey, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

University Lab's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-7. As for Central Private, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. University Lab will head out to face off against St. Charles Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Central Private, they will square off against Zachary at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Zachary will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
