Football Recap: Weir Takes a Loss

Weir was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Keyser Golden Tornado, falling 34-6. The contest marked the Red Riders' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Weir's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Keyser, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Coming up, Weir is taking a road trip to square off against East Fairmont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Red Riders will be up against the Bees' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38.17 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Keyser, they will welcome John Marshall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
