Flat Rock entered their tilt with Milan on Monday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They came out on top against the Big Reds by a score of  4-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  2-0  back in April.
 Mikey Giroux was a  major factor no matter where he played. He  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with one  RBI.
 Giroux wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Landon Dwyer, who  went 1-for-2 with one  stolen base and one  RBI.
 Flat Rock  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Milan struck out 12 times.
Flat Rock pushed their record up to 14-4 with the  victory, which was their seventh straight  at home. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Milan, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record  this season.
