Basketball Game Preview: Gaffney Indians vs. Greer Yellow Jackets

The Gaffney Indians will venture away from home to take on the Greer Yellow Jackets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Friday, Gaffney came up short against Eastside and fell 64-51. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Greer also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to James F. Byrnes by a score of 71-59. While losing is never fun, the Yellow Jackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Rebels are ranked third).

Gaffney's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Greer, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Gaffney couldn't quite finish off Greer in their previous meeting back in December of 2017 and fell 49-47. Can Gaffney avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
