Football Recap: Petaluma Takes a Loss + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Petaluma can now relate to. They lost to the Fortuna Huskies on the road by a 42-23 margin on Friday. The matchup was a 20-20 toss-up at halftime, but the Trojans couldn't quite close it out.

Despite the loss, Petaluma still got an impressive performance from Brody Stevens, who rushed for 134 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Stevens' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 132 rushing yards. Aidan Wirtz also helped with two TDs in total.

Petaluma dropped their record down to 7-4 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Fortuna, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Petaluma does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fortuna, they will venture away from home to square off against St. Bernard's at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Crusaders' defense has only allowed 9.5 points per game this season, so the Huskies' offense will have their work cut out for them.
